Press Release | Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP | 10/30/2007
For the fifth consecutive year, Brian Casey, a partner in the Corporate, Financial Services and Insurance Practice Groups of the Atlanta office of Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell, has been selected as one of Insurance Newscast’s 100 most powerful people in the insurance industry. InsuranceBroadcasting.com in conjunction with the Insurance Media Association compiled the list.
Comprised of more than 20 categories, the sixth annual list is an attempt to express who controls the most insurance industry resources (people, capital, intellectual knowledge, technology, etc.) or has the most influence on those resources. The two organizations have singled out those individuals they think have the most resources available to them and who would have the most ability (as a group) to successfully accomplish any goal or directive of the insurance industry.
Casey focuses his practice on corporate, mergers and acquisitions, secondary life insurance and other insurance securitization and derivatives transactions, multi-state insurance regulation and e-commerce and technology matters for insurance companies, insurance agencies, third party administrators, and financial services firms. He also represents insurance clients in the areas of privacy, reinsurance, corporate finance, venture capital and taxation. He is a founding member of the Life Insurance Finance Association, and is a board member of the Life Insurance Settlement Association as well as the Life Insurance Direct Marketing Association. Casey is a graduate of Auburn University, The Ohio State University College of Law and Emory University (Master of Laws in Taxation).
